When Ida and her father, Roar, travel to a remote island to close the family cabin for the winter, they are forced to confront each other and the wounds of the past. A broken boat, a locked door, and an unexpected night in an outhouse become the catalysts for an evening filled with frustration, laughter, and long-suppressed emotions.

Ida, a troubled teenage girl living in London, is sent to spend the summer with her grandmother on a remote Norwegian island after being caught with drugs. Far from the life she knows, she uncovers long-buried secrets about her mother’s past and is forced to confront the silence, grief, and anger that have shaped three generations of women.
